Make Your Wishes
Grieve them when they donβt come true.
Eat the fruit in front of you.
Dust the seeds from your chest-bone.
Crack it open, inspect a bit.
Nothing is so damaging as a wish
Left to rot.
So make them, put them out the door,
Ask them to carry themselves.
Then grieve
As they grow into something
Beyond you.
See the tree. It bears more fruit.
